Kiddopotamus is proud of our impeccable product safety record and of our reputation among parents, media and industry leaders for making infant products with exceptionally high standards of quality and safety.
We are committed to the design and manufacture of products that are safe for babies. If we determine that a product concept cannot be made safely, we will not make it. If a major retail buyer requests that we make a product in a way that does not meet our own high safety standards, we will not do it.
Kiddopotamus invests great care in designing products for safety and in selecting safe materials. We have products tested by independent labs whenever appropriate to ensure the safety of our designs and materials for infants. We label the products with appropriate information in both English and Spanish for safe use and product care. We rely on parents and caregivers to only use infant or children's product as directed and only for the intended purpose of the product.
Feeding Accessories:
The TinyDiner Portable Placemat and Bibbity Rinse and Roll Bib are lead free and made in the USA with FDA compliant materials. These products contain no potentially harmful vinyl, lead, phthalates, latex, or cadmium. Production units have been tested by independent US and European test labs to confirm that there is no lead present in the product.
Nursery Products:
Each of the fabrics used to make our nursery products have been tested by independent US labs for both flammability and TOG ratings. Our products are made in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) sleepwear flammability guidelines and we do not add chemical flame retardants. TOG is a measure of thermal resistance commonly used in the textile industry. It is used to measure warmth; the higher the TOG value, the greater the warmth. Car Seat Accessories:
Many of our car seat accessories have undergone rigorous crash tests by accredited United States agencies to ensure that they meet the highest safety standards. The FMVSS 213 crash test is promulgated pursuant to the rule making authority of the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA). Kiddopotamus car seat accessories are designed with thin materials behind the harnessed portion of the baby so that the harness straps can be kept as snug as possible. (Caregivers should never use car seat accessories that add bulk behind the baby which may require the harness straps to be loosened.)
Stroller Accessories:
Our UV protective products are tested regularly by independent US labs to ensure that the fabric meets the highest standards of protection from both UVB and UVA radiation according to US and Australian standards. Any fabric lot that does not perform to block over 99% of rays is rejected.

Creating a safe environment for baby is the best thing you can do to ensure the first years are happy and healthy. Raising your bundle of joy takes care and knowledge. Being more aware of the products in and around your home is just another step that will become second nature as a baby grows. Following are a few basic facts to ALWAYS remember:
Adult Supervision
The only sure-fire way to keep your baby safe is direct supervision when juvenile products are in use.
Read Instructions and Warnings
For the safest product use, be sure to always read and follow all manufacturers' instructions and warning labels.
Second-Hand Products
It is recommended secondhand products should not be used for baby. However, if it is necessary to use older products, make sure they have all parts are available, the product is fully functional, not broken, and has not been recalled.
Safest Option
Keep in mind that new products meeting current safety standards are the safest option.
Inspection During Use
Don't forget to frequently inspect products for missing hardware, loose threads and strings, holes, and tears.
Discontinue Use
Monitor your child's growth and development. Discontinue using a product as your baby reaches the limits defined by the manufacturer.
